Just spent two hours cleaning all of my pens. I’m fuckin’ ready to draw. Get ready for some new drawings tomorrow :)

“You brought me here that’s all I know for certain. Some impulse, some ride you wanted to take me on, something that you thought existed but didn’t. And now we’re standing here on this windy street, as the cold rain dampens our bodies, clutching one another like we’re about to die. Clutching isn’t the right word though. It doesn’t do it justice. Maybe squeezing? No that won’t do either. The only way I can describe the feeling is to say that we’re crawling into each other, burrowing deep. It’s as if every drop of rain has a piece of you trapped inside. And each drop that lands on me is teaching me things about you. Things you’ll never say, but that I need to know. Like how your Dad would carry you up to bed at night if you fell asleep on the couch, so you started faking it because you needed to be held close to someone even if only for a moment. Things like how when you were young you were always the last one picked for anything. And I just hope that each drop of rain that hits you isn’t telling you, RUN! He’s bad news, and that instead they’re telling you that I was always picked last too… and that we don’t have to deal with that school yard nonsense anymore. I hope the rain is telling you that we pick now, no one else. And I really hope over anything else that at least one of those drops is telling you that I pick you… only you, and no one else.”

“I’m knocking on all these doors but no one is behind them, only empty rooms. I wish I could pick a lock so I would know if these rooms feel as empty inside as I do. I’m not surprised that they’re locked, holding secrets inside just as I do. I wonder if they have windows. I bet they have two, just like me. Two windows to peer out of, but not into.”

I received the most thoughtful message this morning. It honestly made my week. I just want to say thank you. You know who you are.
